Floor protection for later trades
Confirm which finish went down and when it can take traffic before you agree on protection.

[ ] Get the installer's OK before anyone walks on or covers the floor.

[ ] Pick a cover that works with this finish and how far it has cured. One cover doesn't suit every system.

[ ] Don't put tape right on the finished floor without written approval for that tape.

[ ] Protect approved routes from grit, dragging, heavy point loads and wheel damage.

[ ] Keep paint, glue, oils and other trade materials off the floor. Follow the spill plan everyone agreed on.

[ ] Check the protection often and clear out any dirt or moisture trapped under it.

[ ] Take photos each time a trade hands over the area, and report damage before anything covers it.
