# What you can usually expect on a project

 This is how we usually run a job: clear decisions before we start, updates during the install and a care walkthrough at handover. The records below are the usual ones, and your written proposal lists the exact steps for your job.

## A written scope before work starts

 Before we start, we usually write down the areas, the prep, the finish system, what isn't included and the price. If something still needs checking, we note that in the scope.

## Planning how we protect your space

 Together we agree on how we'll protect nearby surfaces, the paths we use to get in and out, and any rooms people are still using. The prep methods, closing off the work area and cleanup all get planned for the job. Dust control depends on the job and the space. ## Checking the slab for the system you picked

 We look at the slab and any finish already on it and figure out which tests it needs. Then we compare the results with what your chosen product calls for. If a result doesn't fit, we'll usually talk it through with you and adjust the plan before that part of the work starts.

## A sample to approve when the look isn't certain

 When color, patches, texture or sheen need confirming, we agree on a sample in a spot that's typical of the floor. Before that finish goes across the whole job, we write down the sample and how much variation you're OK with.

## Written approval before extra charges

 If hidden problems or changes you ask for affect the cost or scope, we explain the change. As a rule, we get your written OK before any work that costs extra starts.

## A project contact, shared privately

 On most jobs, we share the name and contact info of the person running your job, and it comes straight to you. We don't post it on this website.

## Updates at the points we agree on

 When we plan the job, we agree on how we'll keep you updated and at which points. We make a point of telling you about big changes to the prep, samples, application or access, and about shifts in the schedule.

## A final walkthrough and care handover

 At the end, we usually walk the floor with you, list anything left to do and go over care and cure times for the system we used. Foot traffic, furniture, wet cleaning and cars can each come with their own wait time. How the floor holds up depends on following that guidance and those wait times.

## A clear way to raise a concern

 Something look wrong after we've finished? Tell us your project reference, which area it is, when the problem showed up and what's been put on the floor since. From there, we look it over and agree with you on an inspection or the next step.

## What's different for each service?

### Stained concrete

 We usually check for leftover residue and patches, agree on a sample and write down both the stain color and the sealer over it.

### Polished concrete

 Most jobs start with us writing down what the floor will face day to day and how shiny you want it. Then we explain how shine from grinding differs from shine that comes from a glossy coat on top.

### Epoxy and overlays

 We go over the prep, moisture limits, whether the layers will stick and work together, and how you can and can't use the system you picked.

### Patios, restoration and countertops

 Outdoors, we look at sun, weather and how wet the area gets. For restoration, we find out what layers are already there. For countertops, we check heat, cleaning and what will touch the surface.

 When you can use the floor again depends on the products picked and the real conditions on site. Every floor needs some care, and nothing on this page says otherwise or extends the warranty past your signed written proposal. If anything here differs from your signed written proposal, the proposal governs.
