Terms of Service

Last updated: September 20, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and any consultation, quote, or work with Austin Stained Concrete Floors. By using this website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Your signed written proposal is the contract for your job. If anything in these terms or on this website differs from your signed written proposal, the proposal controls.

When you sign a proposal, you agree that you're relying only on what it says. Statements on this website, in ads, in estimates, or in conversation aren't part of the agreement except where the proposal includes them.

2. Services

We offer decorative concrete services, including:

  • Stained Concrete Floors
  • Polished Concrete
  • Epoxy Floors
  • Overlays & Microtoppings
  • Patio Resurfacing
  • Countertop Resurfacing
  • Floor Restoration

Our services are decorative, not structural repairs. We don't offer or suggest any decorative finish as a fix for a slab that moves, settles, or has structural defects.

Drainage, slope correction, slab replacement, structural repair, plumbing, leak repair, and finding or fixing the source of moisture are outside our work. We can talk through options during the consultation. If you hire someone else for that work, we aren't responsible for it.

We may use our own crew or subcontractors we choose. We may decline any job for any lawful reason.

3. Information on this website

The guides, articles, photos, tools, and other content on this website are general information about decorative concrete. They aren't engineering, design, code, safety, or legal advice, and they don't replace a look at your own slab.

Our calculators and planning tools give rough planning estimates only. They aren't a quote, an inspection, or a promise of price, scope, or results.

We work to keep information accurate and current, but products, prices, and practices change, and the site may contain errors. We may change or remove content at any time. Please don't rely on the website alone for any decision about your project. Ask us, and we'll go over it during the consultation.

Nothing on this website is a contract, an offer to do work, or a warranty. Images are illustrations, except where a caption or project page says they show one of our jobs.

4. Quotes and changes

All prices are in US dollars. Price ranges on this website are general and aren't a quote. An estimate or quote isn't binding until you and we sign a written proposal. Your proposal describes the scope, the products, what's included, what isn't, and any minimum charge.

Any change to the scope or price has to be agreed in writing before the added work starts.

We may find things after work starts that we couldn't see before, like old coatings, moisture, or damage under flooring. If so, the scope and price may change. When that happens, we'll tell you and agree on the change with you before we go on.

5. Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit, are in your signed written proposal. A deposit may go toward materials we order for your job, including special order materials that can't be returned.

If a payment is late, we may pause work after giving you written notice, as Texas law allows. Late charges, collection costs, and attorney's fees apply where your proposal and Texas law allow them. We keep any lien rights Texas law gives us.

6. Consultations and slab checks

We can only judge what we can see and test at the time. Photos, site visits, and slab tests can't show everything, like conditions under flooring or moisture levels that change with the seasons. A test result shows a reading at that time and place. Our recommendations are our best judgment based on what we saw, not a guarantee.

7. Old flooring, adhesives, and hazardous materials

Older flooring, tile adhesive, paint, and coatings can contain asbestos or lead. We don't test for, remove, or handle hazardous materials, except where your proposal says we will. If you know or suspect they're in your space, tell us before we start.

If we find something we suspect is hazardous, we'll stop that part of the work until it's tested and handled. Any delay or added cost is handled as a written change. We aren't responsible for mold, asbestos, lead, or other hazards that were there before we started.

8. How the finished floor will look

Decorative concrete finishes naturally vary. Reactive stains give a see through, mottled color that depends on the chemistry and condition of your slab. Samples, test areas, photos, and color charts show a likely range, but they don't guarantee an exact match of color, sheen, texture, or pattern. Things already in your slab, like cracks, patches, saw cuts, and spots that soak up stain differently, may still show in the finished floor. That's an expected part of the finish, not a defect.

We don't guarantee any specific result beyond what your signed written proposal says.

9. Your part of the job

You agree to:

  • Give us safe access, enough power and water, and a work area cleared of furniture and belongings, except where we've agreed otherwise in writing.
  • Before we start, tell us what you know about the slab. That includes past coatings or sealers, leaks, moisture, radiant heat, pipes or wires in the slab, and past repairs.
  • Get any HOA, landlord, or building approvals the job needs, and any permits, except where your proposal says we'll handle them.
  • Keep people and pets out of the work area until we say it's ready. Some products have an odor as they cure, so plan for anyone sensitive to stay away until the space is ready.
  • Follow the drying, curing, and care guidance we go over with you when the job is done. Putting things back, walking on the floor, or driving on it too early can damage the finish, and that damage isn't covered by any warranty.
  • Keep people and pets out of the work area during grinding and cleanup. Grinding and prep can create fine concrete dust. Some fine dust may settle outside the work area, so remove or cover nearby belongings.
  • Protect the finished floor from other trades, spills, and heavy loads.
  • Point out any visible concerns at the final walkthrough, so we can look at them on the spot.

10. Scheduling, delays, and cancellation

Any start date, schedule, or timeline we give you is an estimate. Weather, material availability, site conditions, illness, other trades, and other things outside our control can change it. We aren't responsible for delays caused by things outside our control. We'll reschedule instead of putting down a finish in conditions that could damage it.

We may pause or stop work if the site is unsafe, if we find conditions outside the agreed scope, or if a payment is late. We'll tell you why and talk through next steps.

Texas or federal law may give you a right to cancel, like the three day right for certain sales made at your home. If so, we'll give you the required notice with your proposal. No cancellation charge applies during that period.

After that period, please give as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled start, we may charge for crew and equipment prep and for materials we've already ordered.

11. Warranty

The only express warranty we give for our workmanship and materials is the written warranty in your signed written proposal, with its terms, limits, exclusions, and remedies. Statements on this website, in ads, or in conversation aren't warranties. Any express warranty starts once the job is paid in full, except where the law says otherwise.

Texas law gives some implied warranties that can't be waived, including the warranty that repair and modification work will be done in a good and workmanlike manner. We don't claim to waive those. Your proposal describes the standard your job is measured against, including natural variation that isn't a defect. We disclaim all other implied warranties to the extent the law allows.

Except where your proposal says otherwise, a warranty doesn't cover slab movement or cracking, or moisture coming up through the slab. It doesn't cover conditions that were already there, misuse, missed care or cure steps, work by others, or normal wear either.

We'll only post warranty terms on this website once they've been confirmed. Product warranties come from the manufacturer and have their own conditions, including how you have to maintain the floor.

12. Care and maintenance

When the job is done, we walk you through care, cure times, and upkeep for the products we install. How the floor holds up depends on following that guidance. If questions or concerns come up after the job, reach out and we'll talk it through. Using the wrong cleaners, abrasive equipment, or coatings from other suppliers can damage the finish and may void any warranty that applies.

13. Slip resistance and safety

No floor or outdoor surface is fully slip proof, especially when it's wet. Texture and grip additives can help reduce the risk, but they don't remove it. After the job, you're responsible for keeping surfaces clean and dry and using mats where people walk in. At a business, follow any safety rules that apply to your space.

14. Limitation of liability

This website and its tools are provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss that comes from using the website or relying on its content. Our total liability for any claim about the website is limited to $100.

For work we do, the limits and remedies in your signed written proposal apply. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Examples are lost profits, lost use, or the cost of staying elsewhere during the work.

Nothing in these terms limits a right that Texas law says can't be waived, including consumer rights under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

15. Notice and a chance to fix it

If you have a concern about our work, please tell us in writing as soon as you notice it.

Before filing any lawsuit or arbitration about our work, you agree to send written notice to the address in your proposal, by certified mail. Describe the problem, and give us at least 60 days to inspect it and offer a repair or settlement. Texas Property Code Chapter 27 and the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act require notice like this before many claims.

If we can't resolve it that way, either of us may ask to try mediation before going to court. Except where your proposal or the law says otherwise, each side pays its own costs and we split the mediator's fee.

16. Website content and photos

Everything on this website, including the text, photos, layout, and images, belongs to Austin Stained Concrete Floors, except where we say otherwise. Please don't copy it without our permission. See our editorial standards.

Links to other websites are there for convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content.

17. Your use of this website

Please use this website only for lawful purposes. If you misuse the website or break these terms, you agree to cover any loss this causes us, to the extent the law allows.

18. Texas law and disputes

Texas law governs these terms. Your signed written proposal's dispute terms control, including any mediation or arbitration terms. If it has none, and to the extent the law allows, any lawsuit about our work or this website belongs in Travis County, Texas.

19. Other terms

If a court finds any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. Your signed written proposal and these terms are the full agreement about your job.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Any changes apply as soon as we post them on this page. They don't change a written proposal you've already signed.

21. Contact

If you have questions about these terms, send them through our contact form.
