Custom Stained Concrete Floors in Mueller, Austin
Homeowners ask us about stained concrete floors in Mueller, here in Austin. It's a planned neighborhood of about 700 acres on the old Robert Mueller Municipal Airport site in central east Austin, along Airport Boulevard. Mueller's houses, townhomes, and condos were all built after 2007. Owners there ask about polished concrete, garage coatings, and patio resurfacing too. We take jobs around Mueller Lake Park and Aldrich Street, and in Windsor Park and Cherrywood next door, case by case. We've worked out of Austin since 2001 and confirm each Mueller address before we put it on the calendar.
Mueller is on our list of possible service areas. Before you book, check coverage and timing with us.

Getting Your Mueller Job on the Calendar
Mueller sits along Airport Boulevard, and I-35 runs past its northwest edge. When we take a job in the area, those two roads get our crew to homes in Windsor Park, Cherrywood, North Loop, Crestview, and St. John. They get us to mixed use and business properties near Aldrich Street and Mueller Lake Park too. Most days our equipment leaves with us. If something has to stay at the house, we'll clear it with you first.
We can't commit to a set response time for Mueller jobs. When we can start depends on our calendar, the size of your slab, and how many trips the job takes. Send the room measurements and a few photos, and we'll give you an estimated date range from our current calendar. Weather, supply delays, and site conditions can still shift that range.
Access affects the quote: where the trailer parks, whether there's power, and whether stairs are the only way in. Once we start, nothing goes back in the room until it has dried and cured. When the job is done, we walk you through care, cure times, and upkeep. If something worries you after we leave, get in touch and we'll talk it over.
What Your Slab Needs Before Concrete Staining
Almost every home in Mueller, from Yard homes and Row homes to townhomes and condos, went up after 2007 as part of the redevelopment. Builders here finished those slabs in different ways, and that changes how the concrete takes stain and polish. These newer slabs are often flatter and less patched than the ones in older Austin homes. But they still need prep.
Stain won't soak through leftover curing compound, so when a slab has it, we grind that off first. Many of these slabs were machine troweled so tight that they don't soak up much. Garage floors here often haven't been ground with diamond tooling yet, and an epoxy or polyaspartic coating needs that to grip.
Why not pick a color and get started? Tight concrete like this takes acid stain differently than an older, more open slab, and water based stains and polish act differently on it too. So we typically test a small area before we agree on a color. We won't quote a finish off a photo (not even a good one).
We look at each Mueller slab on its own. A street address tells us nothing about the concrete under your floor.
Why Mueller is a good fit for us
Mueller's newer houses and townhomes sit on ground level slabs, and those suit stain, polish, and garage coatings. That work is our whole trade, and it's why Mueller is on this page. We don't have an office in the neighborhood.
Photos from our concrete jobs
Each job lists what the work took, next to photos of the finish. Hold that up against the look you want, and ask us how it would differ on your slab.
