Stained Concrete Floors for Rough Hollow Homes in Lakeway
People reach out about stained concrete floors in Rough Hollow, a planned community of about 1,800 acres in Lakeway, along three miles of Lake Travis shoreline. It sits on the lake's south shore in Travis County, about 25 miles west of downtown Austin, and you reach it from RM 620. Homes here and around Bee Cave, The Hills of Lakeway, and Serene Hills bring us calls for stained floors, garage coatings, and patio and driveway resurfacing. We've worked out of Austin since 2001, and for a lake job like this we confirm coverage before anything is booked.
Rough Hollow is on our list of possible service areas. It's a long drive out RM 620, so check coverage and timing with us before you book.

How We Get Out to Rough Hollow
Our trucks and gear usually come in on RM 620 and Lakeway Boulevard. When we need another way in, we take SH-71 to Bee Creek Road and come in on Highlands Boulevard. When we take a job there, the same roads get us to The Hills of Lakeway, Serene Hills, Hudson Bend, and Four Points. Most days our equipment heads home with the crew. If something needs to stay at the house, we'll talk with you about it first.
There's no fixed response time for jobs out here. When we can start rides on how booked we are, the size of your slab, and how many trips out RM 620 the job takes. Send the room measurements and a few photos, and we'll give you an estimated date range from our current schedule. That range can still move with the weather, material availability, or site conditions.
A few access details change the quote: room in the driveway for the trailer, power, and whether stairs are the only way in. Can the room sit empty until everything dries and cures? It needs to. When the job is done, we go over care, cure times, and upkeep with you. How the floor holds up depends on following that guidance. If questions or concerns come up later, reach out and we'll talk it through.
What Changes How Stain Turns Out in Rough Hollow
Rough Hollow has been building since the mid 2000s (and new homes still go up), so slabs vary from house to house. Older slabs often soak up more, and acid stain gives them the mottled, translucent earth tones it's known for. But newer homes often have smoother, tighter slabs finished by machine. On those, we usually point you to water based stain for more even color and more shades to pick from.
Garage slabs here usually take epoxy or polyaspartic coatings well with the right prep. Depending on the slab, that can include diamond grinding and moisture testing. Outside, patios, pool decks, and driveways take a lot of afternoon sun and heat. So we lean toward lighter colors, outdoor sealers designed for sun, and textures that give more grip. No surface is fully slip proof when it's wet. Keep wet spots dry and put mats where people come in from outside.
We size up every slab on its own. An address tells us nothing about the concrete under your floor.
Why Rough Hollow fits our work
Rough Hollow's lake homes bring us requests for garage coatings, stained floors, and outdoor slabs that take a beating from the sun. That work is our whole trade, and it's why Rough Hollow is on our list. We don't have an office in Lakeway.
Concrete jobs we've finished
Every project shows the finish and the work it took. Pick one close to what you have in mind, then ask how your Lakeway slab would take it.
