Custom Stained Concrete Floors in Travisso, Leander
Travisso is a planned community in southwest Leander off RM 1431, and we field questions about stained concrete floors in Travisso and in Crystal Falls next door. The single family homes in both sit on ground level slabs. Owners ask us about polished concrete, garage floor coatings, and patio resurfacing too. On a new slab, the first thing we look for is leftover curing compound, since that film keeps stain from soaking in. We've worked around Austin since 2001.
We don't fully cover Travisso yet, so check with us on coverage and dates before you book.

How We Get to Jobs in Travisso
Travisso is in southwest Leander, a few miles west of the 183A Toll Road and northwest of Austin. Our crew takes 183A to RM 1431, heads west, and turns north on Travisso Parkway. RM 1431 runs along the community's south side, toward Cedar Park to the east and Jonestown to the west.
There's no set response time for Travisso jobs. The start date turns on how booked we are, the size of your slab, and the number of trips out to Leander the job needs. Send room sizes and a few photos, and we'll check our calendar for an estimated date range. Weather, supply delays, and what we find at the house can change that range.
How we get into the house affects the quote. Our equipment usually leaves with us at the end of each day. If a piece has to stay behind, we'll clear it with you first. So we need to know if the trailer can park in the driveway, if there's power, and if stairs are the only way in. Then the room stays clear of furniture until the floor has dried and cured. We check the same things for a remodel or a brand new home.
Getting Your Travisso Slab Ready for Stain
Most Travisso homes are newer builds on ground level slabs, and they share the quirks we see in other new Leander homes. There's often leftover curing compound on concrete nobody planned to show. Machine smoothing leaves a tight finish that soaks up less stain than an older Austin slab. And the garage floors usually haven't been diamond ground, so they often need grinding before epoxy or polyaspartic goes down.
A tight slab doesn't take acid stain the way an older, more open one does. So which stain makes sense here? On these newer slabs, water based stains go on more evenly and come in more colors. That's why we test a spot before we settle on a color. A photo alone can't tell us what finish to quote.
Back patios here take hard afternoon sun, like the rest of Leander. For those, we'd pick a lighter color, a UV stable outdoor sealer, and a texture with better grip. Dry off wet spots and lay mats at the doors people use coming in from outside. If an indoor slab needs surface repair, an overlay or microtopping can put a new surface on it before staining. We check every Travisso slab on its own. That look tells us if it needs grinding or a moisture test. The street address won't tell us that.
Why we work here
Travisso's newer slabs suit stain, polish, and garage coatings, and that work is why we take jobs here case by case. But we don't keep a local office in Leander.
Photos from jobs we've finished
Each project shows the finished surface and what the work took. Hold them up against the look you want for your Travisso home, and ask how your slab would change the result.
